Damien Fellous

Born in Paris, France, in 1970. Studied Video and Politics & Social at University, then Photojournalism in 2000 at CFD-EMI in Paris. Published his first book "Et la forêt se déplaça..." ("And the jungle moved...") about Mexican indigenous insurgency with Nadège Mazars in 2001. Joined the collective of photographers Libre arbitre in 2003. His images from Europe, Asia and Latin America have appeared in many publications and were exhibited in France, Germany, China and Japan. His work about guerilla teenagers in Colombia received special price by jury at Days Japan Award in 2009. He is currently based in Bogota, Colombia, since october 2007, where he manages the blog Colombia Tierra Herida.
